Testing for GBS (Group B Streptococcus)
30 minute appointment which includes sample collection and information about your choices for treatment of GBS, should your result be positive. This test should ideally be taken between 35 and 37 weeks of pregnancy.

(Kits are also available if you would like your NHS Midwife to take samples and send your own test. These are available from the Oakham office and cost £32 payable directly to the Laboratory).

Acupuncture for Pregnancy
Our partnership with Tina Allen, a Zita West accredited acupuncturist, enables us to offer the following treatments and services.
Boosting Fertility
A short course of acupuncture and consultations, to help your body prepare for conception and pregnancy.
£40 - £50 per session.
Breech Baby to Cephalic (turning baby into the best position for birth)
A combination of acupuncture and Moxibustion, (the burning of incense) can often enable a baby to ‘turn’ by itself without clinical intervention.
This treatment can be given from about 32 – 35 weeks of pregnancy and includes a short antenatal consultation with a Midwife prior to the treatment.

Preparation for Labour
A course of up to 3 treatments, depending on individual needs, to help get your body ready for natural labour.
These treatments can be started from 38 weeks of pregnancy and includes a short antenatal consultation with a Midwife prior to treatment.
We can also provide this treatment in a shorter timescale if your pregnancy goes overdue.
£40 - £50 per session.
Concessions are available on acupuncture fees if you receive regular treatments throughout your pregnancy.
